Live demo · weather + weekly rhythm

See next week's phones before they ring.

Rollups staff their call centers from demand models. An independent can do the same with its own call history and the local forecast. This live demo shows what that looks like for a sample HVAC and plumbing shop in Boise.

TopPage Heating, Cooling & Plumbing is a fictitious company. The model runs on real, anonymized call data and live Boise weather.

What-if planner — test any day & temperature
How to read this: the forecast is built from weather + weekly rhythm (day-of-week) — it does not compare to the same week a year ago. The call history covers just over a year, so there is no year-over-year seasonal baseline yet. Treat these as planning estimates, not guarantees.
Accuracy
Total daily calls: cross-validated R² ≈ 0.6, typical error around ±20% of a day's volume. Daily figures are rounded to the nearest 5. AC & heating are small-count and directional (±2–3/day) — use them for “which trade to weight,” not exact headcount.
Model
Built on more than a year of real daily call activity from an independent HVAC and plumbing company, anonymized for this demo and matched to airport weather in that company's own market. Here it runs on live Boise weather, so read the numbers as illustrative. Trade mix counts calls that name a job type; it does not sum to total inbound, which includes general & unbooked calls.
Live weather: National Weather Service (api.weather.gov), Boise Airport (BOI).  TopPage Heating, Cooling & Plumbing is a fictitious company used for demonstration. Built by TopPage Digital.

How it's built

Your calls. Your weather. Your week.

No generic industry curve. The model learns how your own phones move with the temperature and the day of the week.

1

Pull your call history

A year or more of daily inbound calls and booked jobs from your phone system or field-service software. We work from an export you send.

2

Match it to local weather

Each day is paired with the high and low at your nearest airport station, then the model learns how heat, cold, and weekday drive your volume.

3

Plan the week ahead

The live forecast pulls the next seven days from the National Weather Service and turns it into a call count and a staffing note for each day.

Independents vs. the rollups

They plan staffing from a model. Now you can too.
